leds in tank
Looks way cool - but - I hope it's a super clean installation with plenty
of insulation. I'd hate to think what might happen if there were one little
spark in there!

I must look a little weird coming down the road but I bet I'm more visible
now. If anyone asks, I'm going to tell them my KLR has a nuclear powered
fuel cell and that's why it glows...

Thanks. They are located underneath the tank, not inside it.

They aren't in the tank, they're on the backbone. BUT, very cool effect.
Nicely done.

Hmmm. My KLX has a translucent green tank. I may have to do this, and label the switch Flux Capacitor.

I used these LED's from Walmart. They cost $18.

I didn't install a switch to turn them off, being LED's they use very little power.

Nice indeed. Now I'm looking for something that will give the same effect with my black IMS. And a magnetic tank bag that will work with it.

David,
That s what I love about this place: there is such an assembled body of knowledge that almost no problem cannot be solved. What do you think about steel ball bearings first, then the lighted match?
Jud.
