Thanks

You re right if I wasn t so cheap I d be ridding a Harley CVO Ultra Classic instead of my beat-up anemic klr.
Glad someone is aware of Krupnik, a fine honey liquor. FWIW there s a barley soup by the same name. Last night, however, I drank some Old Grand Dad cause they named it after me.

Man, why do KLR riders have a reputation for being cheap?
Put down the krupnik and just replace the friction plates and springs already.
Sheesh, 71,000 miles.
Thanks

The OEM plates are the same as in one of the Ninja models (not sure of displacement) so they are plenty stout for the KLR. I did use an EBC clutch kit in one of my earlier KLRs and had no complaints about that one either though I don't recall the specific model number. I only replaced the clutch because I abused the hell out of it on a muddy dual sport ride somewhere along the way. It's not easy to smoke the stock clutch but it is possible. ;')

Hey Bogdan, at 71,000 miles, are you still running the same balancer chain/ cam chain that came on it? I understand some with high milage replace theirs.
