GPS is great, isn't it? So accurate..... I added a very real photo at the link below. Check out the max speed after a weekend ride on a DL1000. lol eddie PS: Went through a long overpass and the GPS lost it's signal. Once I reappeared on the other side, it must've calculated I went X distance in just Y speed and arrived at the figure depicted above. Still, it did surprise me. =)

Yea, right Eddie. I took my Garmin one time on an airline flight on got around 356 mph before it lost signal. Still have it on my Garmin.

loss of power at speed
Just another possibility to consider: I had similar symptoms, thought intermittent, when a baffle in my muffler broke loose and created excess backpressure. Several mechanics missed this completely, and the one who noticed hadn t really checked into it until I asked Why do I hear a clunking noise sometimes when I start it up....? After confirming that the muffler wasn t dented or otherwise abused, Kawasaki replaced it under my extended warranty at about 50k miles. I was astounded. Hope that helps.
