Boo Hoo. You are REALLY breaking my heart! You chose your profession, so if it is too much for you to deal with quit and do something that doesn't put you in so much danger.
Now since you are such an authority, please tell us how much profit all these American oil companies made this last quarter that requires them to bump fuel prices up so high to make a profit this quarter. Jeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz!

prices. I Drill oil and Gas wells For a living . In a typical year
in my company 3 men die. And mabey 15-20 loose fingers/hands. not to
mention the one hundred or so That require hospitalization for other
injurys. As for the costs involved in getting the fuel to you! After
A sesmic survey ( easily a few million if helicopters involved).
Buying rights to the land ( few hunded thou - several mil), Building
an acess road and drilling lease ( half mil) Drilling a Few miles in
the earth. Few hunded thou to 20+ mil. Post drilling environmental
clean up.( up to 1 mil) Government well Head taxes. building
pipeline from well head to existing pipe line. Or build Resivoir on
site. Hundred thou to mil. Refine the oil into gas and add
appropriate additives. Truck the refined fuel to local Gas
stations. Then it gets pumped into your vehicle where the price
includes Both federal and State taxes. And the oil company still has
turn a profit for share holders. They do it by volume! they are
lucky to get a dime of profit out of a gallon. And yet still you
complain and feel you are being gouged. If fuel were say perhaps
double what it is now We would all buy alot less and use more
efficient modes of transit. Perhaps we would live close enough to
ride a bicycle to work or even walk. we might carpool and take
transit. The feasability of alternative fuels would increase. And
you never know more people might even enjoy the ride to work on
there fuel sipping klr. Sorry for the rant folks but i can,t
stand whining about fuel when most of us would pay 5 bucks for a
simple 18 0z coffee from starbucks and not even think we were being
gouged. Don,t get sucked in By marketing. And remember those guys
who die every year just so you can have gas to burn as you see fit.
