I am about to replace the drive chain on my KLR. Should I use a clip-
type connecting master link or rivet-type connecting master link?

clip-type connecting link or rivet-type connecting link?
Use the rivet if you have the tool to secure it, if not, do the clip but
don't forget to load the clip after it's installed, then secure it with some
safety wire.

clip-type connecting link or rivet-type connecting link?
The outside plate it rests against should be moved out toward the clip so it
is snug against it. A screwdriver will do the trick.
