The clutch safety switch is the wire coming off of the clutch perch.
Trace it back to the wiring harness and just remove it entirely.
Jumper 2 of the 3 wires (can't remember which ones, but I'm sure
someone will pipe up...I think it's the middle wire to either of the
other 2?).

That could just be break in time (1000 mile does a lot in the early
stages of bikledom), or oil type, or a slightly loose clutch cable.
