Doc,
I have to agree with Morgan that San Diego County is Paradise. I
live in North County, and although I have had many opportunities to
move to other parts of the country (work on Rad Therapy Equipment), my
wife and I wouldn't move unless we were forced to. The county is
pretty mellow compared to other large metropolitan areas and the
traffic isn't that bad (yet) for CA. I haven't explored the offroad
venue yet (only have had the KLR for 2 weeks), but there are hundreds
of miles of secondary roads that wind you through the mountains. All
beautiful the 3 seasons(summer, cooler or cooler w/rain). And you
can't beat being able to watch the sunset over the ocean. It really
doesn't matter where you end up, everywhere has something that is
special. As long as you move to the SW, you will always be able to
smell the rain as it hits the sand for the first time in months.
Sorry for the long winded e-mail,
Best of Luck,
Mike
