[dsn_klr650] kickstarter

Post by Mike Hansen » Wed Apr 01, 2009 11:59 am

For the 1995-96 model year, Kawi changed the clutch basket. the use of the kickstarter is no longer available. the parts would come from a KLR600. I guess you can look at changeing the clutch to what is in the 600. But I would leave well enough alone. just park on a hill : ) haha. Sorry bud, all my research has shown the same results. not possible for a part swap. ----- Forwarded Message ---- From: Rick McCauley To: dsn_klr650@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, April 1, 2009 9:41:23 AM Subject: [DSN_KLR650] Kickstarter I guess I am tired of depending on batteries. Does anyone no what parts are needed, and the part numbers to add a kickstarter to my 2003 KLR Rick A17 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

There used to be a kick starter "kit" from Kawasaki for about $200 that has since been discontinued. The individual parts used to still be available but have become Very expensive. The last I checked the parts totaled around $1000. That would buy a lot of batteries. Fred http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com http://s1.zetaboards.com/arrowhead

Martin, Several bikes come w/ bias and radial mix. Don't worry about THAT. No opinion about radial tubes. Ed
