Nuts and Bolts
I sent the following to Dick Knudson without a reply. Does anyone know if I sent it to the right address?
Hi Dick
I was looking over an e-mail to me from Peter Ross in 1998 and a reference
to you by Michael Sherrel.
I am the beginning of restoring a "frame-up" of TC 5995. I have a big pile
of rusted nuts, bolts, screws, etc. Some of them had to be cut out of the
old wood.
Michael mentioned that you had "TC Factory Specification 259" which might
have a description of "every last nut, bolt and washer" that I need to
purchase to bring the new wood and refurbished metal together.
Dick, if this is true, is there some way to share that information? If any
cost is involved, I will be happy to bear the load.
Best regards

hi TABCers,
great hint from DAI to lead us at www.mgcars.org.uk/mgtd/mgtd_bolts.htm !
some days ago i refelcted on "why have a complete table on the web site of
all nuts and bolts for the TC"?
my current question: what is the thread of the TC tank unit sender bolts?
as the obove mentioned TD table -- is there a complete table for real MGs
available to be published on our site?
cheers

Nuts and Bolts
Hello Group
I am continually confused by the various fasteners used on the TC. I suspect this subject has discussed many times, but I can't find a good reference on either the T-ABC site or in the Yahoo files.
Does there exist a good, complete, summary of the technical data on Whitworth, metric and American nut and bolts. I would like a table I could hang in my garage. It would beat thumbing through my ancient Marks handbook.
Thanks
Larry

Larry, look up the MGTABC web site,(www.mg-tabc.org)
In the technology section, under the listing XPAG-XPEG
nuts and bolts,is a complete explanation by size and
location of all the various sizes and types used in

Nuts and bolts
Hi Peter,
I believe I have every proper fastener for the TC. This includes all BSF,
Whitworth (yes there are some Whitworth on the TC), BA, and even a few BSC &
BSP. There is a 16 page catalog of just hardware available on my website
below. As Bob G. said, most of this stuff is pretty universal to other cars
from that era. Contact me off list for specific requirements.
