Hi All, While on the subject off odd screws,anyone know the size of the 3 small screws that hold the centre plate onto the steering wheel? Regards, Ron Benson

I am not being too helpful in saying that sometime back, this was answered by a fellow lister. For the life of me I cannot recall the detail tho' I seem to recall something like size 3A(??), but perhaps someone else will be less afflicted by Azheimers than me! Joe Gates

Ron, Assuming you are asking about an original steering wheel, not the Brooklands type, the three screws that hold the badge on are indeed 3BA. The Brooklands type uses much smaller screws, probably 6BA but I haven't measured them. Peter Cole. Ron Benson wrote:

Pete, Had'nt thought of that, it is for the Brooklands wheel and as I am in the UK suppliers outside will prove too costly I'm sure. Regards, Ron

Pete & Ron, I just looked at my original Brooklands wheel. I can replace a screw with a 6BA, but a 6BA nut is a little tight going onto the original screw, maybe because it is chrome plated. The screw is slotted, dome headed and 3/16 inch long. On another wheel though, they are not chromed, but I can't easily remove them. In contrast, and a dead giveaway, the otherwise very nice Moss repro wheel, has even smaller Philips headed countersunk screws.
