Supercharger for sale
Hello everyone
As you know, I am selling the TC along with my collection of T series MG bits. Here is a supercharger for you. It is complete with manifold, carb, marvel mystery oiler, crank pulley and even the v belts. Also came with a new set of spare vanes. The unit is in excellent shape and looks good. I also have a stack on documents, including factory installation for all T series. Part of those documents is a Nov. 1954 Road and Track review of a Judson supercharged TF 1250. They were very favorable. The previous owner, a member of the T-ABC group, was asking $2500 and I paid $2000 plus shipping. I never got around to installing it.
Attached are the photos of the Judson. The small aluminum brakets are for the oiler. The copper pipe is the overflow for the carb. In front is the stainless line connects the oiler to the manifold. Also note it is already set up on a MG intake manifold. The only thing not there are the bolts securing the carb to the Judson. Note the "MG" crested brass dashpot damper and float chamber tops. The connection line is a nice braided stainless, etc. Obviously, he wanted it to look good on the car. Finally there is a chromed dashpot cover for the carb, if you are so inclined. I like the look of the polished aluminum better, but it came with the setup so I'll pass it along.
Let me know if you have any questions
Bob

For what its worth---I can testify as to the condition and completeness of this Judson blower, I used to own it and ran it on TC7563 for a couple of years, I took it off and sold it to Bob then replaced it with a Moss/Magna to get more boost. I currently run blowers on 3 MG's ,TC 7563 with the Moss/Magna. L 0414 with a Volumex and PA 1510 with an original Centrics -- all are much improved and no less reliable-- Octagonly Yours, Tom

Sorry AJ, but e-mail as experienced by the rest of the Internet works very differently from what you're used to within the confines of America Online. AOL's mail system is a proprietary one dating back to pre-Internat days. It doesn't conform to Internet standards for handling file attachments. The rest of us who use standard mail program like Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape Communicator and the like download our mail from our ISP's mail server to our PCs. While the mail is in transport (whether from server to server or server to PC) any file attachments are encoded as part of the message. Once the mail is downloaded it's stored on the PC's hard drive, with the attachment still part of the message. When a message containing an attachment is read, the user has the opportunity of saving the attachment in its original file form. That's how e-mail and file attachments work for most people. If someone were to "get another ISP" as you suggest in order to have mail work the way AOL does it, then the only choice would be AOL. No thanks. -- Chip Old (Francis E. Re: Supercharger for sale
Over the past few years, we have discussed at various times what is appropriate email content for the list, and some broad rules have been more or less agreed after lengthy email exchanges. I think they go something like this:
- [*]Generally no file attachments, or if unavoidable, then only small file attachments. [This has been discussed on the list at length at least twice.] Most of us can happily receive attachments of almost any size, but there are some members whose service-provider agreements limit file sizes or connection time per month, and there are others with low speed connections - witness Murray's example of use of a mobile phone at times. If you want to advertise to the TABC list members, then place your advert on the TABC website, maybe with a short email note to the list, but do not place the whole advert and pictures in an email to the list. Similarly if you advertise on ebay, your own home page, or elsewhere outside the TABC web site, then a short email to the list is enough if you wish to alert TABC list members. Generally only MG-TABC related content, and no non-MG comedy stuff. Direct personal chit chat only to those concerned, and off-list.

supercharger for sale
Hello all,
I have a used twin rotor supercharger from the '40's for the XPAG engine for sale. 6 p.s.i. output, which can be changed with different size pullys.
In good condition, it is now configured with a toothed belt drive. If a pair of the more familiar V-belts are wanted, I will machine the pullys for $300 for the buyer.
The blower is for sale as now configured for $2400.00.
Photos with it mounted on an XPAG if you email.
First shot at it for the group, ebay and craigs list later.
More blower stuff soon.
Best,
Ray

supercharger for sale
Hi all,
A change of TB plans means I have a supercharger for sale. Yes, it works! You will have to either use the Gilmer type pulleys with it, or machine new ones. Output is contingent upon pulley size used. As set up, it puts out 8 psi.
The blower IS NOT the single rotor type you are used to seeing, but is a twin rotor much like the new moss item. It is NOT new, but is from the '40's as far as can be determined.
Unfortunately, the makers mark was polished off the case when it was fitted to the TC special it came off when I bought it.
It comes with: the polished supercharger and manifold for the XPAG, a Gilmer-type toothed belt, two Gilmer-type pulleys, a tensioner for the belt, and a rear mount to brace the blower.
You will need to supply: plumbing for oil from the usual outlet, drain into the sump, pulleys if you want different ones, belts to fit any different pulleys, and a 1 1/2" SU carb. You may need a spacer under the carb, as well.
$1700 takes it to a new home.
Contact me off line. I offer it to the group before eBaying it.
Best,
Ray
