tuning

Post by JTPAKI@aol.com » Thu May 17, 2001 2:05 pm

T-List a while back Joe Curto mentioned that running a more powerful coil would have the same effect as leaning the mixture. Is the effect of running a hotter coil, the same as running hotter plugs? I was running a "sport" coil for a while and then went to one of the reproduction units that look similar to the originals. I am definitely running fatter as a result. I would like to put this thing on a dyno soon and see what the difference is. My concern is running too lean at speed and thus overheating pistons. Can anyone offer what CO levels might be expected at speed, lets say 3800 RPM? Madhu :  I speak English, and Spanish poorly!  I don't speak any Indian at all!!  We love your stories and input!  Until I can speak your tongue, please don't deprive us of all or any of your wit!  If your ever in the Pacific Northwest we can exchange stories! :)  Pete Lund
