for $2k. And it was a garage queen - NO damage, NO plastic fading, ALL original in "near showroom condition". It needed new tires, petcock rebuild and two or three missing fasteners. One of the seat bolts was snapped off, so I had to easy-out it and install new bolt. I also installed a K&N filter because the original foam element was disintegrating from age. I replaced the doohickey and spring, and changed the oil/filter and coolant.

like I said, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm sure there are those who think $2k was too much to give for mine.

Eric, It is a good looking bike for its age. Where does Jeff get off saying "Rattle can paint job." You are going to get quite a bit of opinion on your post but opinions are like arm pits... Every one has one. Some stink worse than others... I think they are right, You will get out of it what ever the market will handle. My '95 was purchased for $1500 with 9200 miles on it. Cool, Thanks... : ) I just needed a reference point. Hey, worst case scenario I get to keep it, right? : ) I haven't been on the board for a while; are there any tech sessions coming up in the AZ area? ~Eric AZ --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "Andrew Tuning" wrote:

I'm looking to sell my basically new 03 KLR650. Way too many add-ons and mods to list (bags, racks, dohicky, springs, shock, seat, wiring, fasteners, etc), all the original parts, a few new spare parts and tools to go with it. The bike has about 1200 miles on it and has been an onroad queen that is always stored inside. I bought it new and probably put another $5K into it. I'd like to get $3500, but will listen to any offer. I'd like it go to someone who will really enjoy and ride it. I'm in the Bay Area of California and looking for a in person cash sale only. Email me directly for more info at sdnz@.... Scott
