Like most of you, I have a Farkle Addiction. It started slowly and it is now a full blown Farkle Addiction........... witness my latest addition..... one of those little Gremlin Bells that I have seen on other bike.......... pretty lame huh? Eddie

Somebody tried to tag me with one of those bells as well. I told them, I prefered a Vodoo doll of a Harley tied in front of the skid plate. They didn't think that very funny at all. revmaaatin.

I thought the bells were for grizzly country, so when the ranger found them in bear scat, he would know there was a missing hiker.

I spent a lot of time in Alaska in my Coast Guard days. In Kodiak they say if you carry a .44 magnum for protection when you're out in the woods, you should always file off the front sight before you leave. That way, it won't hurt so bad when the bear shoves it up your ass. -Jeff Khoury

(1978) A Marine F-4 RIO told the same story, except the 'bear' in the story sounded very very much like N. Vietnamese. He flew over N. Vietnam with a filed/removed front sight. He later had the unfortunate experience to eject after being shotdown, landing some distance off shore but in shallow water; he visualized the full monte experience...except he remained cool, while one rifle-wielding soldier came out into the water to take him prisoner even as the rescue helo could be seen in the distance coming for him. Sometime during this drama, The RIO ducked underwater and recovered his pistol, then,as the NVA soldier approached him, He cooly kept his slightly modified, S & W .38 pistol at his side, below water until the last moment.... "You are my prisoner." Imagine the soldiers surprise when suddenly, Pulling the gun level with the man's face, he allowed, "I don't think so." Following the personal, one shot action, the resuce helo arrived, dropped the horse collar dragging the RIO out to sea, out of rifle range from those NVA on the beach, before recovering him. revmaaatin.
