Hey All (those who Know camera's)
Besides the fact that Digital's can not make quality slides, That I do like at times.
Tell me, WHY I SHOULD KEEP, all my 35mm Equipment.
Note: Yes I have a few digital cameras and love them, AND want at least 2more, I like the GPS feature.

If you didn't stock up on Kodachrome while you had the chance you might as
well set the 35mm cameras on the shelf as curiosities.

In about a thousand years, it will be a valuable antique, just like my
Pentax 645s'.

No reason at all. Ebay or Craigslist

Build a darkroom and learn to do your own developing and enlarging.
or..
get something like this.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/FujiFilm-Mini-Lab-FP362BAL-Optical-Film-Photo-Processor-FP-362B-AL-Minilab-/150793775127?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item231c026817
a drug-store style mini-processor. 10 minutes 32s developing time! you will
need 240VAC though.
since the start of the digital era, a lot of these little machines are
available for a fraction of their original selling price.

Especially on bike; durability wise Olympus digi's are tough. Bought one for my son in USMC who put it through 2 combat tours in Afghanistan where it/he sustained numerous explosions, sand etc. and still takes good photos even with the dents in it.It is water tight to 12m and shock proof. I know that wasn't Mark's original question but the older 35's are big and clunky, especially on the bike. I have an old Minolta XD11 that my daughter still uses for black and whites but thats about it. Still hard to get rid of it.......
