I have tried, "Cat Crap" and many others recomended for motorcycle face shields, and have not been happy with any. Somethings like RainX Advise do NOT!!! use on motorcycle or helmet shields. What have you found that works WELL????? Besides leaving it cracked a bit. PS. Had mine Cracked open about 1/4inch, and also a LARGE windshield on the K1200lt, and a LARGE bug still found it's waypast all that to SPLAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the edge of my snug fitting sunglass's and get under and into my eye. For almost a year now, I've had really good luck with one of these inserts off Ebayhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/HJC-Pinlock-Clear-Fog-Resistant-Lens-Insert-for-HJ-20-Shields-Visors-Anti-Fog-/150916855377?pt=Apparel_Merchandise&hash=item2323587651&vxp=mtr>on the FX39 face shield. When it's cold & rainy out, it'll still fog up a little. But it clears up easily & quickly. And the edges of the face shield will still be foggy. I've used the Cat Crap on snowski & ATV goggles with pretty good luck. Never used it on a helmet face shield though. I just picked up one of those FX39 sunshields off Ebay for $22 shipped. Guess I'll have to order an anti-fog insert & then reinstall my clear face shield on the helmet when daylight savings time goes off. - Bill

About the only way I'd buy a new KLR is if they injected it. Loose the carb. Andy with his '00 KLR with an '09 carb and shock on it.

I tried what I thought was next best thing -- a snowmobile faceshield with two layers: an inside and an outside shield, sealed together. Unfortunately, the seal broke and I had to ride home in cold rain with a faceshield that was fogged between the layers, and was utterly uncleanable.
