Don't feel bad, Greg. Everyone poked fun at me for FOLLOWING the manual when I did the rear shock. Manual? Don't need it. Use the FAQ! Robert Wichert P.Eng. LEED AP BD&C +1 916 966 9060 FAX +1 916 966 9068 ===============================================

yea experience wins out every time over book learning only :-) i always trade doing my own maint for tools i need either to do the job or tools i need in general. that said, i do have a hard time buying tools i'll only need once... doing the doo comes to mind. my list of materials includes 2 gaskets, a rotor bolt, a puller, a special wrench and (if all goes well) an hour + of my time all to repair a known serious manufacturer's 'weak point'... that does not sit well with me. :-( i'm tempted to let the dealer do it. gregc

I usually justify the cost of tools vs. the cost of having someone do it for me. If the first time I need to have it done would pay for the tools, I go ahead and buy them. With the doo tools, certainly someone will lend them to you... -Jeff Khoury

cough. I believe that would be... revmaaatin. however, there have been many good suggestions concerning the slide, diaphram, and spring that act in a similar manner; all useful information as a trouble shooting guide.

I hope your job is going good. I wanted to alert you to a superb job opportunity in locality. We have had many of our members take this opportunity and I am getting lots of fantastic success stories. The newspaper has an article featuring one of our clients, Kelly Richards. It will also give you all the relevant information you need to get started. The link is http://aktecplastik.com/boardbutter/Graham_Young81/ and I believe the article will be on the homepage until tomorrow. Best of luck! In appreciation,
