Check in with list moderator Fred when you get to Moab and ask for ride recommendations. Our group really enjoyed the Onion Creek Trail. Fred suggested a loop ride that concluded with coming out of the La Sals on Onion Creek Trail. We voted that day our best dual sport riding day ever! You might want to also check out Fred's hydro cooling vests. Daughter and I thought they were musts for riding in 100+ temps. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

klr 650 windshield/windscreen recommendation?

Post by SniperOne » Sun Jul 15, 2012 8:40 pm

Mike, Let me know how the windshield comes out. I have 2 with the recurve at the top and both have about a 1" band of distortion across the shield just below the bottom of the recurve. The manufacturer said it was a by-product of bending the recurve. Its not noticable on the road, but off road its a little un-nerving when a rock or ledge suddenly shifts just before your wheel hits it. The distortion is not visible looking through the shield perpendicular, but from seated looking in front of your tire its there. If your shield turns out nice I might buy another one.
