I was surprised that when I asked y'all what used 250-or-so dual sport to buy, the list of a dozen or so did not include the KLR250. The one I had use of for a month seemed just fine. If I weren't in California I'd snap this one up.

Apparently Windows thinks you want the Windows Media Player to open the PDF. Your file association has changed. If you are running Windows, right click on a PDF that you have downloaded. In the menu that will display, put your cursor on Open With. Then click on Choose default program. Windows will display one or more programs that might be used to open the PDF. Click on the one you prefer and verify that a check mark is displayed in the box by Always use the selected program to open this type of file. Then click OK.
