hello
Hello everybody,
I 'm new here. I 'm french, living near Paris. My first bike was a KLR
600 of 1984.
I had always trail and I like doing off road:
600 KLR 1984 ---> 80 000km
600 TENRER 1989--> 70 000km
600 TRANSALP 1987---> 120 000km
600 TRANSALP 1999---> 116 000km
750 AFRICA TWIN 1991--> 125 000km
750 AFRICA TWIN 1992---> 100 000km (now)
So the KLR was my first love, I have been to Marroco with it.
In september, a nice guy will give (yes give!!) me a 600 KLR 1985(B)
with only 14 000km.
So I'm here to listen, and share knowledge.
Thank you

hello
JP & group -
I've got a question or two for you, but I also posted this message to
the group, in case anyone else can help.
I will be taking a trip to France in mid-September with my wife. She
will be spending a week participating in job training and staying in
a corporate dormitory. I will not be able to stay with her, so I
thought I would rent a motorcycle and tour the country for 5 days.
I've done some initial research into motorcycle rentals and overnight
options (camping/hotel/b&b), but I'm looking for some advice from
someone who lives in France and/or someone who has done this sort of
thing in France before.
I guess my major concern is with the bike rental. We will fly into
Paris, where I believe we will spend the night. The next day, she
will take the TGV to Lyon and be picked up there for her training.
My thoughts are to rent a bike somewhere outside of Paris so it'll be
cheaper and so I won't have to deal with the traffic. I also do not
want to waste a day just traveling to the rental location. JP, I
noticed you stated that you live near Paris. Do you know of any
rental companies that are far enough outside of Paris to be cheaper
and hassle-free, yet close enough to be relatively convenient?
Any and all constructive comments/advice are welcomed!
Thanks!
