My bike was already stolen once so im thinking of putting some kind of hidden gps tracking device on it. What do you guys recommend? Anything affordable? I don't know about the one in your link, seems too good to be true. I know Lojack systems are $600 plus a monthly service charge. Seems a lot to invest for a $5,000 motorcycle. And IMHO with professional thieves, any alarm (Lojacks included) is just something else for them to steal. For every piece of new technology, they will learn how to disable it. All you can do is try to make the pros find an easier target and prevent a casual thief from stealing it. This alarm is $160 including shipping and it is full featured. I read a good review in Motorcycle Consumer News on it. It has a proximity sensor, impact sensor, 2 way pager, etc. I'd park it nearby in a visible place and when the pager goes off you have a chance of catching them. No idea what to do at that point (are you a gun owner?). http://www.internatrix.com/ Where did they steal it from? If it was on your property, this alarm plus a big mean dog, plus a big cable laced thru the frame and wheels and anchored to the bedrock would thwart 99% of all thefts... A thief can defeat a fork lock in about 2 seconds with a well-placed kick on the front wheel. Then he can roll it away and figure out why it won't fire in the comfort of his own garage. A BIG cable lock and a cover to reduce the temptation go a long way. In the end, if they want your bike, have good insurance. They're gonna get it. eddie
