pelican cases & helmet lock

Post by mark ward » Fri May 18, 2012 7:32 pm

Hey all (that have Pelican cases.) I just finished installing my 3 pleican cases and was debating about the helmet loks that was Behind it all. I noticed the lock fits snugly (NICE! NO SLOP) like it was made to go between the handle support and anouther reinforcement strip. A couple of friends (I say "friends", even thou they do NOT have klr's, LOL) even asked Where did you get order a special lock made for those cases. I cut a larger wood screw about 3/4inch, rapped in a small piece of painters tape for a snug fit and inserted into the screw holes, POINTED SIDE OUT, to press in and mark exactly where to drill the 2 holes. (drilled one, inserted screww then marked the second one, eying to make sure it lined up with the first.) Now it faces the back of the bike on the tail box. EASY!!!!! ACCESS AND LOOKS GOOD. ( I will try to do pics later [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
