They can be tuned from loud to extremely quiet with the also reasonably priced optional tips. The trail saver tip with the turned down tip is supposedly quieter than the stock exhaust. These exhausts do require re packing, but they are very reasonably priced compared to the rest out there. You could go with stainless steel wool for packing, supposed to last much longer.
