Hey all Advice needed (not on carb..... AGAIN,...... yet, lol, drilled and pulled idlle screw this morn., still out.) I have a friend that is about 5'4"-5'6" , So shorter legs. He wants to Dualsport (never done it) and want to get AT LEAST a GOOD both toe's down support. would like to take longer trips on it also. KLR650, tested with 3inch wooden blocks on floor, both toes barley there. The klx250 is to tall STOCK. (no blocks) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I hear the BMW (F/G)650GS (Single) With a scooped seat can get pretty low. In Europe they market them as a suitable adventure bike for women because of their seat height. If they can get by with a 250, I seem to recall the Super Sherpa isn't really that high, and they might want to look at the Yamaha XT250. -Jeff Khoury

gander mountain warning!!

I wear 3M safety sunglasses (Fuel X3) while riding. They're under $10.00, impact rated and if they get scratched I can get a new pair at Home Depot on the way back to the house. ...and they don't look bad either. -Jeff Khoury

A KLR equipped with With 2" lowered links With dipped Corbin seat With two inches of fork tube slid up in the triple tree You will find at least 3" you are looking for. And it certainly will be a less agile pig. shrug or buy a DR650. I heard that the lowering items are already built into the bike. buy a Yamaha trail wing; TW250 zero mods required.

You could also put a Progressive 1" lower shock and still lower the links 2" on KLR. Robert Wichert P.Eng. LEED AP +1 916 966 9060 FAX +1 916 966 9068 ===============================================
