klr 650 stolen then found- need advice
There are several "safety" circuits that will kill the spark, things
like a kickstand switch, neutral/clutch lever switch, kill switch and
also the key switch. The best bet is get a manual for the electrical
system and a small volt meter.

 Hello Everybody,

So the weather has been pretty good on the east coast and i decided to
 pull my baby out.
I finally removed the spark plug and its getting no spark. Since my bike
was stolen and found and i believe someone tried to hot wire it is it
possible that the cdi unit is blown and thats the reason its not getting
 a spark?

Also i replaced the fuses with Freds Kit but found that im missing one
fuse. Is this the fuse for the headlights? It has a little (circlr
shaped) connection that goes to the pos and neg battery terminal. My
signals and brakelight are currently working. The headlight is not. See

 David,

What makes you think it was hot wired? That would be a very good place
to check for crossed or cut wires.

the wires coming off the tachometer were slightly stripped. Each one of
 them, brown, black, white etc...
If someone connected the wrong wires together would that blow the cdi right
 away?
If one does that what else can be fried?
Im bummed out........my baby was running so well.........

Based on the fact that the wires coming off the tachometer were slightly
stripped do you recommend that i get a new cdi? If one connects the wrong
wires together the fuses and cdi blows right? (Fuses were blown)

Thanks for all the help. Used cdi goest for 100$ on ebay. Not too bad i
 guess
