doohickey done; didn't blow on start up!

The old original bunk doohickey didn't look bad; just not robust. Spring had some tension on it too. But, only 300 miles on the new used USMC gas engine. Had a little struggle with woodruff key. I didn't have a center punch and grease didn't hold it in place. Dropped it once but fished it out within 5 mins. I bought a Sears pointer torque wrench but didn't wait for it for it to arrive. I went down to the nearby Autozone and got a clicker that went up to 200 ft lbs. Buy/rent $108 dollars and returned. I will check the drain plug magnet and change oil within 100 miles. The oil I put in after I got it looked like it got some coolant/water in it. So, I put it on a low flame in a pot on the stove. Then did the water pump. Put oil back in and the sight glass cleared up. Even though the engine is over 10 years old, I am still breaking it in so I don't want too good of oil in it yet. Though, since it is winter it is so much nicer to break it in at lower temps--at least for the motor. J#3
