Apologies if this is a FAQ, though I'd like to hear the current thinking --
In order to use a Heavy Duty tube, is it okay use an 18 inch tube in
the rear KLR tire (TKC80, if that makes a difference).
Thanks,
Chris

If that s all you have and it is an emergency. Why not go with a 17 HD tube and not worry about it? If you can t find any, let me know. I got lots.

That makes sense ... I guess I was focusing on the "ultra" heavy duty tubes.
And yes, I just don't want to have to worry about it
thx

I bought one of those, had to drill my rack to get the bracket mounted.
Not too hard, didn't take long.

I bought a trunk from JC Whitney - the medium size. It came with a
universal mounting bracket but I can't seem to get it mounted to the rack on
my A16. Has anyone successfully mounted one of these? What's the secret?

The tire guy I go to indicated that the HD tubes are not a good idea as
they can heat up more
when on the road alot? I had requested a HD tube after a flat on the
front and then went with
normal after his recommendations. He does quite a few tires/tubes for
various bikes and I
trust him?
Was he full of it?
