You can replace the head light bulb on the newer style KLR by removing the winshield (4 sc rews) Cheers Sylvain

Undo the screws on top of the cowl, the allen bolts in the dash and the two down inside between the tank and the cowl. But I did recently read of a guy that said he changed his H7 headlight bulbs by going in from the bottom. I kind of recall there was a panel with four screws he removed.
