Has anyone else seen this video. I stumbled upon it looking for someone to do custom paint on my 08 KLR650. I was looking to get rid of the decals and bland colors to something like yellow, orange or ?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hNBgPwISnY&feature=relmfu This guy indicates he purchased a KLR with 20K of modifications. Watch and I was sorta like WTF? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hNBgPwISnY&feature=relmfu Jim Douglas

I would happily do those mods if someone would pay me @20K. I'd never have to work again. All I saw was: Crash bars Skid Plate Exhaust Power Ports Switch Alarm Top Case Tank Bag Panniers $2,500 TOPS. -Jeff Khoury From: "Jim Douglas" To: "DSN _KLR650" DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Tuesday, June 7, 2011 12:42:39 PM Subject: [DSN_KLR650] NKLR - WTF Has anyone else seen this video. Couldn't you tell the guy was being sarcastic? Everyone who has a customized Harley says their bike cost $20,000! Jeff you missed the two most important and likely the two most costly upgrades. First you missed the one down and six up transmission! A 7-speed KLR modification, you have to expect that to be expensive! You also apparently missed the oversize front brake rotor that allows you to stop fast . That rotor undoubtedly has some expensive stealth capability that allows it to hide it s oversize nature since it sure looks like the stock front rotor. So between the 7-speed transmission mod and the size-hiding modification to the front brake rotor I can see $20K easy. Q: How can you tell when the stealership sale guys is lying? I want to thank everyone who answered my question about the M8 pitch. I have not stripped any thread on my KLR650C, I just wanted to have the kit just in case. I also own the M6 TIME-SERT and as I usually work on my bikes at weekends I try to have beforehand whatever I may need.
