I agree with Robert. Any decent lube, a few CCs in the spark plug hole, and turn the crank with a socket and a breaker bar (in the correct direction). Run it around a few times to make sure it's moving freely before you try to start it.

klr and spot
I have one and like to get home and see where I've been.[?] I usually ride
a road until I come upon a road I haven't ridden, and make the turn to see
where it goes and see the sites off the road.
Good luck with the SPOT. It has never failed to get a signal out and
uploaded to MY SPOT PAGE.
I stopped for a short time and turned off the SPOT.A few minutes later, my
wife called to see if everything was OK. She had been watching my track, on
her computer at work, that was posted on MY SPOT PAGE. Since the marker had
not been moving, she was just checking to see if everything is OK. Great
peace of mind for the family.
Just a rider and SPOT user.

klr and spot
So what you are REALY saying is.... If I stop at Dairy queen, WITHOUT HER, I'm in deep trouble. Becuase she will KNOW IT.
Stopped for 1/4hr. small cone 1/2hr. simple sunday,
1 hr. Banana split with the works. OOPS To much weight on the bike. LOL
For those of you that do NOT know, all plans have an OK!! Button.
You can Mark a "spot" to find later, OR If you hit OK then turn off your wife knows you are OK, If thats what you PLANNED ahead,
example: 2 hits meens, I am turning the Spot off to save battery, for aprox 30mins while stopped. 3times 1hr. etc.
Work out a Mosre code, hit spot, wait 3min. hit again, I',m OK but I will be late.
OR! with the $150. plan (That has the Tracking) there is anouther "Message" Button for PREPLANNED Messages.
