needed complete head for klr 650

Post by Ian » Wed May 04, 2011 3:53 pm

Kind of a hard item to find. I bought my A14 (2000) with a burned RH exhaust valve and found an '05 head on eBay. Paid $350 for it since bidding was fierce. This was 3 years ago. I was just plain lucky it was usuable as is and required no work. In retrospect I would have had my head reworked with new valve seats and guides etc. In fact I will eventually do that to have an as-new head to replace the '05 if needed. eBay's about the only place you might find something like that since no one's chimed in here in a few days. I think an '87 head will be even harder to find.
