Just out of morbid curiosity, how did you go from the bumper sticker (quite funny actually) to loud pipes and the blame thereof? PS, scraping a bumper sticker or anything else for that matter off someone vehicle while they are still in it can get you beaten, shot or horribly maimed (try one of my vehicles you'll find out which). No, but I like it... Fortunately, this was at 3:00 in the afternoon, but some jackass on a Harley was rolling up the street, cranking the throttle as he came up to a stop sign. I was ready to take a baseball bat to the areas of his head not protected by his beanie helmet, but it was my girlfriend's place, and I don't want to worry about her suffering repercussions if I'm not around. Loud pipes are a personal choice and as long as they are not "against the law" it's cool with me. Do I like them no! Would I want my bike to have them NO! But do I respect the right for someone that likes the noise YES! I am thinking that the Harley guy's with these loud pipes make fun of ugly KLR's! But just as it's our right to own an "Ugly KLR" it's their right to do what they want, again, again, as long as they are not unlawful! Do loud pipes make a driver aware....they sure do when I hear them. Am I safer when I hear them next to me driving yes, but I don't have my cellphone on my ear and radio up to 10+. I am thinking that they simply like the noise and to them it's "Look at me", "Look at me".

Noise pollution is noise pollution. Their loud pipes or others excessively loud music takes away my choice of subtle noise and sleep. 4 A.M. is too early to hear loud pipes. I am no threat to them at this time, but still hear their safety device. Too much freedom can easily end up in chaos.
