kenda k270 chunking

Post by guymanbro » Mon Oct 18, 2010 2:12 pm

I had a Kenda 270 chunk severely by the time I had run one tank of gas through the KLR on a NYC-Wisconsin ride. Every tire manufacturer is going to have some problems occasionally. How the deal with the customer is the real value of a tire. Guess what? Kenda stood behind their tire. I had to send it in with the receipt so they could have a chance to try to figure out why it chunked. Chalked it up to a bad batch of rubber. But here's the kicker, they reimbursed me for the shipping of the faulty tire AND the purchase and mounting of a new tire. The new tire I bought was more expensive than the 270, but the company paid for it anyway. It happend to be a Kenda 761 (the only tire I could find in the right size at the Harley dealer), so that may have helped with their decision. Long story short, Kenda is a good company, and in spite of the trouble I had with one of their tires, I would, and have, bought Kendas again. da Vermonster
