oregon klr parts shop

Post by David Bowden » Tue Sep 14, 2010 7:25 pm

I'm looking for parts, specifically clutch case gasket, waterpump gasket, a couple of seals inside the clutch cover, and the bolts that hold on the waterpump cover. I have part numbers, but the Kawasaki dealer in Eugene doesnt stock parts and has to order from their Salem counterpart, who also doesnt stock parts but instead orders them on Fridays after they reach a certain shipping level. Thats unacceptable. I need these gaskets and seals ASAP, so I can rebuild for an event this weekend. The gaskets I can cut myself if I need to, but the o-ring and seal inside the clutch cover are a different story. I hope this is not common place, and I can find a shop that stocks parts.

If you are looking for KLR stuff in a hurry, there is no better source than Fred. It's better than having a Kawasaki dealer on the corner, because the dealer doesn't stock anything anyway, and Fred does. He will have it on your doorstep before your dealer's weekly order even goes out to his supplier..

www.arrowheadmotorsports.com   If he has it in stock no one is faster.  I have never had the pleasure of meeting him face to face, but he has helped me numerous times in the past over the phone.  Is internet site is easy to work with too.  I may be in moab this Oct.  I plan to stop by and check out his establishment. dust boot

Rev good point on the adjuster up on the bars.. I always leave mine pointing down and back, unless I just moved it to spray it with lube, then I use it as a funnel to get juice in the cable, just work the clutch and give it a few drops at a time and the cable moving back and forth assists getting lube in cable. A15 (2001) Orginal clutch cable, but thinking time for a spare, for the "just in case" factor. Dooden A15 Green Ape

Agreed.. Call Fred at Arrowheadmotor sports http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com/ Psssst happens to be the list admin, so he prob will not post on this forum, but we all know Fred is "the" source for our KLR parts. Heck what he charged me for 3 valve shims shipped was about what the local (now closed) dealer wanted for just one shim. Support those who support you... Why not...
