Chris,
I just removed K270s from my KLR rims (3rd set!) to put Shinko E705s on. As usual - NO problem breaking beads. I just stand on the tire (disc UP!) and rock a bit, and they've always 'collapsed' for me. The rear E705 looks like it'll hold a LOT harder - had to remove it to seal a very small leak at one of the spoke nipples (I've installed them TUBELESS!) and had to use a 'bead-breaker' w/ about a 4' lever arm I made for breaking tubeless beads.
If anyone is interested, I took pictures as I modded my rims and did the install, that I can put into the "Photos" section.
Let me know.
Cheers,
Ed

newbie tire question and intro
#ygrps-yiv-1366530762 p {margin:0;}Neat concept - but after my freeway debris incident, I will never, ever run tubeless tires on a bike.
The tubes saved my @$$ AND my bike.

newbie tire question and intro
Yeh, that's kinda what I was driving at. I have paid as much as $50, never been lucky to pay as little as $20, although a couple of disgruntled users have sent me their very lightly used K270s gratis, which drives down the average cost per tire.

quick radiator leak fix
The lower left sections of the radiator where the fins meet the solid
part of the radiator developed a leak after I crashed last year.
I just got the bike back 6 days ago and the only thing that was not
repaired was the leak. Remembering that I fixed my Honda Civic radiator
with JB Water Weld I thought I would give it a try. I took some sandpaper and gently sanded the section and then I sprayed brake cleaner
on it to clean and degrease it. The JB Water Weld is working.
I uploaded a pic of it in my album ZeeGadget on the site.
