The question I have to ask is , "Did the bike sit for an extended period of time? (month or longer)". Warranties don't cover disuse clogging the pilot jet/circuits. UNLESS.... the 09' was bought recently as a leftover and the selling dealership serviced the bike well before the sale and it hadn't been run since. Same clogging, different owner, so-to-speak. Then truckinman34 might have some leverage to get them to go through the carb. eddie ----- Original Message ----- From: nomad59@... When I start the bike with the chock on it runs fine, but the minute I take the choke of it dies. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on why this is happening. On Jun 10, 2010, at 8:06 AM, "transalp 1" wrote:

Best $10 one can try on a gummed up carb, eh?
A couple of tankfuls of SF treated gas and it ought to be good to go. eddie
