I am really loving my klr I have noticed a few things I have owned many bikes in the past 15 or so years ive been riding .one thing is harley guys have mixed emotions over a klr most people say hey thats a badass bike and on the downside chicks usually dig bikes if its a cruiser or sportbike but I think the klr has a chick repellant device which i have yet to find maybe its near the doohickey I do not know hahah.and its the only bike ive gotten pulled over on just to make sure its street legal think im the only person with a dual sport in the area.but hey the bike is so awsome i just ride and smile or smile while im pulled over heck it just makes me smile to ride it I rate it right up there with a bmw I rode forever

Hey my KLR is a chick magnet. I was at a hangout once having a couple beers with friends (I know, I know on a bike- not good). A buddy had just bought his first motorcycle (a Harley Wide Glide of course). This tall strawberry blond chick jumped up and sat on my KLR and said this was really cool not even looking at the Wide Glide. Justice!! Herman was pissed as I think he bought the Harley to attrack chicks. Another time going through Pagosa Sprimgs this chick fell in love with my KLR. I think it is the red, black, yellow repaint. Herman that rides the Wide Glide? He has 8000 miles on his Harley. I have 53,000 on the KLR and 54,000 on the Concours. The KLR was purchased the same time as the Harley and the Concours a year and a half later. Criswell

Sport bike owners snicker until they see you jump curbs and parking stops (or pull 45-degree wheelies). Police (here in LA) don't even look twice at dual-sport bikes.  They're looking for drunk bar-hoppers on cruisers, or road racers on sport bikes.  I get waved through sobriety checkpoints all the time without having to stop. I personally don't want a woman who is attracted to my bike.  I want a woman who is attracted to me. I get compliments on my '09 KLR all the time.  At least once or twice a week. -Jeff Khoury ----- Original Message ----- From: "jeffstang05" yahoo.com> To: "DSN KLR650" ups.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 16, 2010 8:23:50 PM GMT -08:00 US/Canada Pacific Subject: [DSN_KLR650] klrs   I am really loving my klr I have noticed a few things I have owned many bikes in the past 15 or so years ive been riding .one thing is harley guys have mixed emotions over a klr most people say hey thats a badass bike and on the downside chicks usually dig bikes if its a cruiser or sportbike but I think the klr has a chick repellant device which i have yet to find maybe its near the doohickey I do not know hahah.and its the only bike ive gotten pulled over on just to make sure its street legal think im the only person with a dual sport in the area.but hey the bike is so awsome i just ride and smile or smile while im pulled over heck it just makes me smile to ride it I rate it right up there with a bmw I rode forever
