Hey y'all , I think I remember a post on this a while back, but since it did'nt apply to me I glanced and went on, but now it's my turn I guess . I have been running at night lately and when I have to slow down or come to a stop on those dark country roads the intensity of the head light ( Hi-beam) seems to go with the throttle ,rev up good light , idle: dim,dim,dim .. How can I fix that , or is it fixable ? Thanks

Luc, Sounds to me like you have a voltage drop due to the stock wiring. You can fix it by installing relays and better wires. Maybe consider adding relays to the head light circuits. Run a fused wire from the battery positive to terminal 30 on each relay. (You need a relay for the low beam and a relay for the high beam.) The wires must be large enough to carry the required current. I suggest 14 gauge as the smallest you use, I use 12 ga on my KLR. From the relay terminal 87 connect (again use a heavy wire) to the headlight terminal for the beam the relay controls. Connect another heavy wire from the headlight bulb ground terminal to the frame ground. Connect the current headlight wires to the relays terminal 85, one for the high beam and one for the low beam. Connect the current head light ground wire to terminal 86 on each relay. What will now happen is when you turn on low beam the stock wiring will energize the low beam relay through terminal 85, a coil inside the relay and out terminal 86 to ground. The fused power wire from the battery to terminal 30 on the relay will now provide power through the relay heavy contacts to terminal 87 which then sends power to the headlight low beam it's connected to. The light will light and the power will return to the battery via the heavy ground wire you installed and connected to a good ground. When you switch to high beam the same thing happens to the high beam relay.
