Revmaaatin,
Followed the link. Interested. Just sent an e-mail requesting the Tech spec sheet on the Hot cams. I asked for the difference in lift and duration between the Hot cam and OEM, Dyno results if available and if a working model is running - what effect on MPG. I hope they will respond and I will post the info.
Thanks for finding it. If the specs are good it may be an interesting combination to a 685/705 Kit.

Try this: http://www.tpi4x4.com/KLR650/cam.html> I don't see why they would not work as advertised. I also don't see a need for them for myself as I Like the way I can put up a moderate hill at 1000 RPM in first gear the way I am set up and still easily cruise at 85 MPH. If you want more top end you can try it out for $359.00 but be aware it will be at the expense of the bottom end. Walt, that is no fair. You are using 'details' to conjecture a diagnosis. You will never get elected that way. revmaaatin.> > It was dropped on the left side so I would guess most likely the shift lever > cracked the case cover. > > Walt >

Jeeps, You ask some good question, and I hope they can produce some good answers. Perhaps it will be an email answer that you can share with us as well. What piqued my curiosity, was the application on a KLR and using it at the track. Not that I am not near a track, or would even build a track bike--but enjoy watching the Honda 350's at Vintage Bike Days, Mansfield, Ohio, which leads us to the KLR650 crowd. Wouldn't that have some application for track days or canyon carving--a guy/gal could be having just as much fun for the buck as a H350.
