Does the longer shift lever make it easyer to shift when wearing boots? The stock shifter is fine if I,m wearing sneekers but not when wearing my new Fly touring boots.

longer shift lever
I replaced my stock shifter with the extended shifter when the stocker broke on the weld. The first thing I noticed was how much better my boots fit with the new lever. On the other hand, on those occasions where I am not wearing boots, I have to reach a little farther with my toe now...

Yes. I bought an IMS shifter shortly after getting new SIDI Discovery Rain boots. My old boots were softer and not as high in the toe. With the Sidis I could barely get under the stock lever, and just rotating the lever up a notch meant a less comfortable down shift.

Good point. I sure wouldn't put it in the dish washer.
The keyboards come off of laptops fairly easy though.
Just find the spot that allows you to pop the cover off,
and there are usually 4 screws to remove. Then just
unplug the keyboard. A gentle rinse in the kitchen sink
would probably do it. Again. Let thouroughly dry.

longer shift lever
I purchased a supposedly 1" longer than stock MSR shift lever off E-Bay and am disappointed it is only about 1/4" longer than the stock lever. Are there 2 different sizes MSR makes and maybe I got the wrong one? Can someone tell me where I can get a longer lever.
