backfires at low rpm

Post by fmhilton » Thu May 07, 2009 12:25 pm

Gus, this may sound to simple, but is the choke completely off? I failed to close mine completely after warming up and it would not idle unless I kept the throttle opened, can't recall the backfire.. Just a thought.. Mike H.

Bike has about 9 K miles did the doo many miles ago. So far installed an new plug (old plug looked good) and added gas treatment/new fuel (not a bad gas issue)... what's next? Think it might be a draphram replacement issue with the carb? Thanks for any good wrench advice. Ridin' in Texas while revving my engine... Gus [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
