poor cold idle and popping on deceleration

Post by Rick McCauley » Mon Apr 06, 2009 11:23 am

Seafoam is good stuff. I use a more preventive ritual. I attached a piece of vacuum hose from a car to the drain on the bottom of the carb bowl. The kind vacuum hose that has that thin hard plastic tubing. The red tube on carb cleaner spray cans slides in easily, but not loose. I just spray carb cleaner into the bottom of the carb bowl, until I figure the bowl is over full. Pull the red tube out and let the carb cleaner drain out. Close the drain screw, Crank the engine over till the carb fills up with gas, and starts. Then off I go. I do this every Spring, again about half way thru the season, and again when I put the bike away for Winter. Except I leave the drain open for Winter storage. Rick A17
