front brake upgrade kit

Post by hal gainous » Sat Feb 07, 2009 2:35 pm

some time ago i installed a 320mm front brake rotor - stainless steel line - brake fluid and DP brake pads (dp313) my current pad width is only 3/4 of an inch with these new pads my rear pads are about an 1.5 inches i don't have the old pads but i still have the old rotor and the pad marks on the old rotor are 1.5 inches. has anyone else had this experience? are these the wrong pads for the klr? the kit was from t.p.i. ( PO0830kit)$199.00 thanks hal2006

I still have my '83 Yamaha 175 IT I bought new. I guess it qualifies as a vintage bike. My wife asks me when I am going to get rid of it? I tell her I like to lock myself in my garage and start it occasionally so I can OD on bug killer 2 stroke smoke and remember the good times of dirt bike rides when you could ride damn near anywhere. She looks at me strangely and shakes her head. Women ... go figure. Ring, ding, ding .........RRRRing, ding, ding. Criswell
