Russell I have heard. I have the Corbin and I will agree with the guy
that said it is too wide for dirt. Russell Day Long is supposed to be
the very best for long rides on the super slab.

The Corbin seat and Company (service) are the antithesis of Russel
seat and Company
The Corbon is better than stock only because it is wider
It is hard as a rock
The Russel is a custom seat with perfect form and function, soft and
supportive (spring system)
Russel is by far the best comfort seat on the market for any
mptorcycle, i know of no one who would disagree
Other custom seat makers are good too but a notch down from Russel
That being said the Russel seat is overkill for the KLR. in my opinion
The Corbin will work for the KLR and the Sargent seat. Is better for
similar price

For me, the Corbin works well. But I did a ride-in to the Corbin factory and had them make it to my specifications, shaping the foam so it didn't ride up on my 'nads for example when I moved up towards the front of the seat. I can ride all day on the Corbin. It's hard, but my butt is already well padded, so it's no more uncomfortable than sitting on a park bench. The problem is that it's too wide for dirt. Makes it hard to move around from side to side to keep your balance in the loose stuff, and so forth. One option is to get a stock 2008+ KLR seat. It's taller than the pre'08 seat, and seems to have a better foam in it, but it's still as narrow as the pre '08 seat. I found one on eBay and am going to try it when my leg heals up well enough that I can stand on my pegs...> The Corbin seat and Company (service) are the antithesis of Russel > seat and Company > The Corbon is better than stock only because it is wider > It is hard as a rock

Hey Chris, ride it to Julian next weekend. You can fix it in the presence of KLRoyalty. http://www.leftcoastklrs.com Thanks CA Stu> -----Original Message----- > I bought kit but I'm not confident in doing it. I have an 04 with > 23,000 miles. Chris > >

I bought the Russell Day-Long to get a seat as wide as I am (ahem). It's
the best I've ever had. Warm in the summer, so I put a beaded cover on
it then. No more sore butt from all day in the saddle.
