first ride of the year

94 degrees, 99% humidity here in Cape Coast, Ghana. Riding fast does not suffice to cool me off, but at least it helps prevent further overheating. As one who routinely wears protective gear at home and elsewhere, it is pretty bizarre to be cruising down the highway and splitting traffic in the capital city wearing low, soft shoes, tropic weight pants and a Hawaiian shirt.....but that's about all I can manage. I do add a helmet when venturing more than a mile or two down the road from where I'm staying. enjoy, Mark

It is freezing here in New Orleans too, man, it dropped down to 65 degrees (above) today, burrrr. I had to wear long pants....... I feel for those of you who live up North.
