Lou - Great idea find. I still have no idea where you're seeing this.
Anyway, I followed your link and others wishing to participate should
do the same. Thanks.

Jud - You're a good man.
I think it'd be nice to maintain the database (somehow). Initially,
I was thinking more along the lines of trip planning, assistance or a
situation where you lack internet access. Posting to the list is ok
but you never know who is lurking.
The 800 number is probably overkill, but then again BMW does go the
extra mile. Nice touch.
I'll keep onboard a copy of the latest contacts. Hopefully, others
will update their data and the list will get more use in the future.

Looks like it would work fine, as list can be sorted in numerous ways, right down to zip code and street. Printable too! Put my info there just now.

I think I found the solution. I'm not sure how active the Complete
Phonebook database is, but SOMEONE must know about it. If you look
left you'll see in the blue box a list of links including "Database."
Click on it, and then scroll down the list and find "Complete
Phonebook". Click on it and add your details. I just added mine so it
works. Or try this link:
http://autos. groups.yahoo. com/group/ DSN_KLR650/ database?
method=reportRows& tbl=5
This seems like it'll work perfectly. Next it would be nice to put
everyone on a Frappr map perhaps in the Links. Listas, what do you
think?

Boulder, I like the site and I did add my name in information... Some short comings with the list. Pros: It can be sorted by state. Cons: You can't sort and print by states.. Would be more helpful to be able to keep a printed list by state to make locating easier.

Opened my mouth before my brain had completed work... "You can" sort and print by state... Sorry for the bad information.

Luc - Not sure of the situation you're describing. If you're talking
about being on the road and have the list, then you just call a
nearest contact on a mobile. You can sort the list in various ways
and also export it and paste it into something like Excel (you'll
have to massage the data though).
If you're asking about access to the list, as part of your pre-trip
planning, you'll have to print it at a library or somewhere. Then
carry it and a mobile phone.
Of course having the list doesn't help much if a contact is hundreds
of miles away or you don't have a mobile signal. In any event, the
data should help people with pre-trip planning and maximizing ride
time. So if for example, you're heading to Fairbanks, Alaska you
could iron-out plenty of details ahead of time.

Excellent. I put a new link in the Links section entitled Map of KLR
Riders. It's a Frappr map that shows where various people are. If
everyone that wants to participate could enter their location, it
makes a great visual tool as well.
As Lou pointed out, this link is the same one that appears in the
footer of email messages for those that don't drink right from the
bottle (view the group list). Thanks to Lou for paying attention to
detail and finding this jewel.

For this list to be more helpful we need to encourage KLR riders to Join and add their information.
