Man, I sure hope the two Errant-Ronin don't get caught up in any of that.

They don't call it the San Diego Style Vest for nothing... http://www.pinnaclearmor.com/body-armor/concealed.php I think in tough times like now we're going to see more conflict including these guys cannibalizing themselves. Damn, look at the weaponry. Unbelievable. Anyone have a pre-fab KLR mount for an M4A1? ;) Personally, I avoid Tijuanna if I can. The good old days are long gone. Tecate is choice but still intimidating late night. Don't expect any USBC presence either once they close the gate. Last time I was there at 1am-2am, I was blown away by the traffic going over the fence. Amazing. 99% going south like after a casual day of shopping in the US. Mex family people just climb over the gate and back home. No paperwork. Nothing. Of course, you can't get your KLR over the gate, but if you lose your passport or whatever and ever need to get back in...I'm just saying. Just don't expect a welcoming party. There's a phone 300 meters northwest (right of road) over by some gas pumps (closed at night). Note: After 11PM(?) or whenever the border closes, it's lights out. I mean pitch black 200m beyond the gate. Thereafter it's Rt 94 and countless winding mountain miles to pass through Barrett Junction (Rt 94) on out to HWY 125. This section is crawling with USBC agents that can 'assist' you; otherwise forget ever getting through the FLIR operators. I ran this lonely stretch solo passing probably 5 groups of say 10-20 male Is tie- wrapped and on their knees by the side of the road. You feel like at any moment you could get hijacked. There is a quick check-point circa Barrett Jct but even late am the guards wisk you through. --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, martin glazer wrote:
