Post by Jim » Sun Aug 10, 2008 8:12 am

I have a 83 GL 1100 Standard I would like to trade for a KLR-KLX 250. The bike has some where in the neigborhood of 18,000 has Progressive Fork Springs 3 yrs old- Timing Belts 3yrs old It has been parked inside for 3 yrs but was running when parked. Body works are off bike due to a son who wanted to paint it but never did.

08 with 2600 mi's. I washed my bike, filled it up at a descent service station, rode it at 80mph for 17mi's stopped for about 45min's,rode about another 15mi's and it started missing and stalling,I got it home by keeping the rpm's at 5000.Now it wont even putt.It turns over good.any advice on where to start would be appreciated.I've found that the dealers alway's manage to separate u from your money warranty or not,so I would like to know what the problem is before I take it 75 mi's to them. Thanks Bo from N W TN

My first thing to check is did you get a load of crap gas? Sounds to me like the problem started after you filled up. Jeff A20 In a message dated 8/10/2008 11:10:51 A.M.
