crankcase vent

Agreed it's not a crankcase vent problem. Oil pressure is between 5 and 70 psi back there, that is orders of magnitude higher than crankcase pressure. As an aside, I have the oil pressure data and plots (interesting info, anyway) at www.xanga.com/watt_man - then click on the oil pressure link near the bottom. What is the part # of the pcv valve that seems to work. This weekend I rode about 550 smiles. over 300 k was highway speeds of 70 or so. My air box and vent tube has oil present. Does adding the pcv help stop this from happening. Wayne

<><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><> Wayne, The part number is Fram FV345 and it's application at the auto parts store is a 194 Chrysler, LHS 3.5L MFI. The threaded end goes towards the airbox (up). I don't know if that would address you issue or not. I suppose some guys that have done this would say yes it will. A few will say no it won't. I'm guessing only you will know for sure. : ) Best, Jeff Saline ABC # 4412 South Dakota Airmarshal Airheads Beemer Club www.airheads.org The Beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota 75 R90/6, 03 KLR650, 79 R100RT ____________________________________________________________ Click for free information on accounting careers, $150/hour potential. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/fc/Ioyw6i3l7D4GqDYIwlBmuUh29Nj78kWwGSl4KOzAom66fWUeQBkf2k/

Is The KLR650 tank the same. I just purchased one that will need a bigger tank right away. Thanks, Randy [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Hi rev, What else is needed to make the mod work. You know, fittings and such. Did it help with the oil blowby. And how is the noise level, reports have said that some pcv valves were noisy. This one in the picture looks like all you need is a couple of hose clamps. Do you have any pics of the completed mod? Thanks Wayne
