I have found there site and I'm wondering how they are to deal with?
Some of the prices almost seem too good to be true. Hear something
about them moving right now.

They make cheap knock-offs of KLR products that people have busted their
asses developing. I have purchased several items that were crap.
Cheap offshore manufacturing base, piss poor quality of "finished" product.

i have bought several items from them due to my cost effective
approach to farklism (read; cheap) don't know where the "knock off"
information comes from as all of my purchases came with the original
manufactures packaging with the name cut off then repackaged with
the studebaker name on it. i can say they are a bit on the slow
side and not very good communicators. but other than that i have
been satisfied with the parts. actually as cheap as the "knock off"
exhaust is, i am thrilled to death. it fit perfect sounds awesome
and was stupid cheap. will be installing the partially repackaged
ebc oversize rotor tomorrow, along with the partially repackaged
front and rear ebc bymetal pads that came with them all for less
than and ebc rotor from anyone else. by the way, i already have
stainless brake lines so i have the one that came with it for sale
cheap.

The front brake disk you describe is not a re-packaged EBC. Even though the anodize on the hub is the same color - it's not an EBC. I have written communication from them acknowledging this. Sometimes there are original premium parts mixed in with the Taiwan knock-offs, and due to the repackaging and similar appearance it's hard to tell. all the best, Mike> > i have bought several items from them due to my cost effective > approach to farklism (read; cheap) don't know where the "knock off" > information comes from as all of my purchases came with the original > manufactures packaging with the name cut off then repackaged with > the studebaker name on it. i can say they are a bit on the slow > side and not very good communicators. but other than that i have > been satisfied with the parts. actually as cheap as the "knock off" > exhaust is, i am thrilled to death. it fit perfect sounds awesome > and was stupid cheap. will be installing the partially repackaged > ebc oversize rotor tomorrow, along with the partially repackaged > front and rear ebc bymetal pads that came with them all for less > than and ebc rotor from anyone else. by the way, i already have > stainless brake lines so i have the one that came with it for sale > cheap. > klrdar

Two years ago, I purchased my first set of MEFO tires through KLR650.com. This past spring I bought the beefed up subframe bolt system (included drill bits) and I think that the kit instructions were from Eagle Mike. I agree some of KLR650.com's parts are "light-duty" such as the radiator shroud brace vs. what Dual Star sells (i have now) but some parts are from reputable manufacturers. Which is which, I can't really provide a list. Over the years, both KLR650.com and Dual Star have minimized their inventories and "back ordered" is more common. Don, I've supplied them with kits in the past for the drill through subframe and the balancer lever upgrade. In the subframe kits (with nits) I supplied USA high speed steel bits. I know they copied the instructions and removed my name and contact info in some cases, maybe all. I put the contact info on there so I can be reached by cell if someone has an issue during the process. There is a good chance other parts have been mixed in. Knowing this (and other things), changes have been or are being made in who sells my stuff. all the best, Mike [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]> provide a list. > > Over the years, both KLR650.com and Dual Star have minimized their > inventories and "back ordered" is more common. > > Don R100, A6F

Mike: Yep, it is yours with your 619 phone number and says 'All the best Mike" It worked out well for me but I was surprised by the solid metal slug in that frame tube - a lot of hard drilling. I have ordered a bunch of stuff from them and never had any
problems...shipping was fast and I don't remember but one backorder
and that showed up in a couple days. I have been pleased with what I
bought from them except the tall windshield(+10 inches) has a lot of
distortion but I got used to that pretty quick. They're my main
source for most stuff.

I have only ordered once from KLR650.com, and that was for a set of Mefo
tires. They were shipped promply and arrived promptly, no charge for
shipping. No complaints about the transaction at all.
My bike is so farkled at this point that there is nothing they sell that I
want, but if there was I wouldn't hesistate to buy from them.
